How many body paragraphs do I need?

There are a variety of different ways to write the essay. To keep things simple, I recommend writing two body paragraphs as the essay questions can be divided comfortably into two.

Tip: Always try to look at it from both sides. If you agree, still consider the opposing views for a more balanced essay.

Listing task

This is the harder on. You need to separate it into 2 or 3 main ideas.

Tip: Give both parts of the essay equal attention. Try to make both body paragraphs have equal amount of detail.

How do I structure my body paragraphs?

There are many ways to structure a body paragraph. I recommend the following structure:

Topic sentence (see topic sentence page)
2 - 3 supporting ideas with supporting detail of examples, reasons, and/or results (see supporting ideas page)

How long should a body paragraph be?

You need to write at least 250 words. Your introduction and conclusion do not need to be long. I recommend trying to write about 100 words for a body paragraph.
