Task 1:
Dip - this can be used as a verb and a noun.
Meaning: A small decrease that returns to it's previous amount.
Verb: Sales dipped in the middle of the period.
Noun: There was a dip in sales in the middle of the period.
Task 2:
Financially viable - whether a project is affordable and provides enough returns. If it is too expensive, then you can say it isn't 'financially viable'.
Examples:
There are proposals to provide all school children with tablets to use in the classroom. While this is a very popular idea, there are concerns that it may not be financially viable.
With advances made in technology, it has become increasingly financially viable for governments to switch to renewable energy sources.
